Service policy

What we are —
and what we are not.

Being clear about what we offer, and what we do not, is part of how we keep this service safe. Please read this before booking or applying.

What we offer

Six ways to have company.

Coffee & Conversation

A relaxed chat over a drink, in a public place of your choosing.

Walks & Outings

Company on a walk, a trip to the shops, or a local outing.

Appointment Companionship

Someone alongside you at an appointment — for company and reassurance, never clinical support.

Home Visits

A companion visiting your home for conversation and company, arranged with the same care as any other booking.

Event Accompaniment

A companion to accompany you to a function, dinner or event.

Community Calls

Free, volunteer-led phone or video chats — no booking or payment involved.

What we do not offer

Just as important
to be clear about.

  • A dating, romantic or matchmaking service of any kind.
  • Medical, nursing or clinical care — including administering medication or any personal or intimate care.
  • Domestic help — cleaning, cooking and household chores are not part of any booking.
  • Emergency or crisis support. Please see the numbers below instead.
  • Unsupervised access to a vulnerable adult without a booking properly arranged through Family Hub or agreed in advance.
Boundaries

The rules every
visit runs on.

Companionship only

Every visit is social companionship, in a public or pre-agreed setting. Nothing romantic, intimate, or physical beyond an ordinary greeting is ever part of a booking. This applies without exception.

Vetting before listing

Every companion completes a Basic DBS check, reference verification and identity confirmation before they can appear in the marketplace. You can see these badges on their profile before you book.

Either side can end things

A customer can cancel a pending request. A companion can decline one. You can simply choose not to book again — no ongoing obligation is ever created.

Concerns are taken seriously

If something about a visit did not feel right, tell us. Reports are reviewed by a real person, not an algorithm, and can lead to a companion being removed from the platform.

If you need urgent help

True Companio is not equipped to respond to emergencies or a mental health crisis. If you or someone else is in danger, or needs medical attention right now, please contact one of these services directly.
